2008!

2007 sort of fizzled out as far as reading goes, but 2008 is a brave new year.

A little blurb on Ars Technica pointed me to this great blog of letters from an English WWI soldier. His grandson is posting them 90 years after their writing. The prose is weak, but the story strong. The vodka is strong, but the meat is rotten.

I'm also still working on Stanley Dance's The World of Count Basie, Johan van Lengen's The Barefoot Architect, and Rebecca "Lambchop" Reilly's Nerves of Steel. That last one was selling on Amazon for $100 and more until Rebecca herself unloaded some at the cover price of $40. Yay! And so far it's better than Quicksilver.
