4: Judge Dee at Work, Robert van Gulik

Robert van Gulik was a Dutch diplomat and sinofile. He wrote a few scholarly texts on Chinese history, and a series of detective novels in the classical Chinese style. Most of these were originally written in English and then translated by the author into Chinese and Dutch. This is a collection of short stories that I had never read before. They are not as good as the full novels. Really just interesting for a completist.
